Key Risks & Mitigations

Mitigation

Fallback: full-length HEX1 or engineered self-assembly domain. HEX1 oligomerization is well-characterized; compact domain variant is a conservative optimization, not a prerequisite.

Mitigation

Fallback: SpyCatcher/SpyTag system — covalent, C-terminus independent. Multiple alternative PDZ pairs identified in FTO review.

Mitigation

No published metabolic role for Δwc-1 in carbon metabolism. Contingency: alternative promoters or partial WC-1 truncations that preserve optogenetic response without growth penalty.

Mitigation

Start with RUO products only — academic and pharma R&D, no clearance required. Sivoro Start and Sivoro Organ require no FDA oversight. Dx timeline begins 2029+ with a full 510(k) runway.
